Product Name

Spherical Non-Porous Alumina Ceramic

Product Overview

Spherical non-porous alumina ceramics are high-density, pore-free specialty ceramic materials made from ultra-high-purity aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃, purity ≥99.5%). Manufactured through advanced forming and sintering techniques such as Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) or precision injection molding, these ceramics feature a spherical surface geometry and exhibit excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, insulation, and chemical stability. They are widely used in precision machinery, electronic packaging, and medical devices.

Core Features

1. Pore-Free Structure

Achieves near-theoretical density (<0.1% porosity) via HIP sintering or precision molding, preventing fluid penetration and contamination — essential for cleanroom and high-purity applications.

2. Spherical Surface Design

The spherical geometry minimizes contact stress, enhances sealing, and improves wear performance — ideal for high-precision applications like valves and bearings.

3. Superior Overall Performance

  • High Hardness: Second only to SiC and diamond; resists abrasive particles.

  • Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Withstands strong acids (except hydrofluoric acid), alkalis, and organic solvents.

  • High Insulation: Low dielectric loss under high frequencies — perfect for RF and power electronics.

Typical Applications

(1) Precision Machinery

  • Spherical Bearings: Suitable for high-speed, corrosion-prone environments such as chemical pumps.

  • Sealing Rings: Leak-free sealing in semiconductor equipment.

(2) Electronics Industry

  • Insulating Substrates: For thermal management and insulation in power electronics.

  • RF Windows: Transparent ceramic domes for microwave and radar applications.

(3) Medical Devices

  • Artificial Joint Ball Heads: Biocompatible and wear-resistant for long service life.

  • Dental Implants: High-precision occlusal surface reconstruction.

(4) Energy & Chemical Industry

  • Valve Balls: Excellent for corrosive fluid control systems.

  • Sensor Protection Housings: Protects devices under high temperature and pressure conditions.
